Hi,
A bit of a long-shot but does anyone have a spare bottom half of the Fuselage for an AIRFIX Panavia Tornado GR4 1:48 scale? It is from the Dam busters 617 Squadron 60th Anniversary Gift set. I recently bought the kit from eBay but, the part included in the set was for a 1:32 Scale (I think.) Needless to say, there is about a 2" difference in the lengths!
Any help would be appreciated.

Simon, have you tried Airfix, explaining them there was some pakaging error ? Maybe it was from an F.3 ? Don't know how long a Tornado is in 48th, but I'd think the size difference 'tween 32nd and 48th would be larger tha 5cm. Besides, Airfix has no 32nd kit.

Hi tempestfan,
Thanks for the info. I have been on the Airfix Website and have done as you suggested. Hopefully I will get, either a reply or the part in the post - fingers crossed

Contacted Airfix over a month ago but have heard nothing back yet. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed

I received a set of decals that I asked Airfix to supply 3-4 months after the event.
They do take a while.
Airfix do come through in the end.

Hi just one more,
I guess no news is good news and I haven't had any problems with them yet. I have always had 1:72 scale parts before, so was wondering if 1:48 scale would be as readily available or not. I will keep my fingers crossed in the meantime

Things are looking good! I have just received parts from Airfix, that I asked for 12 months ago. Hopefully by this time next year the Tornado fuselage will turn up. Like you said, they do get you the parts eventually. Good old Airfix

Glad to hear that Airfix eventually came through, but 12 months is a bit of a wait!

Hi Steven,
I had forgotten all about the kit, as the wing parts were missing from it when I bought it, so it was a nice surprise when they arrived. They weren't anything special or from a rare kit, they were the right wing (both parts) of the Airfix "Grand Slam" Lancaster. I am now hoping that the Tornado Fuselage arrives, if they have the part laying around the spares dept.
Every experience I have had with Airfix have been good ones. They always seem to come through for me, even though it takes a little longer in some cases

Last weekend my son chose a Revell Boeing 747 model, on arrival home the clear parts were missing, I have never had much response from Revell when trying to order spares but I gave it another go.
I emailed Germany, within 12 hours had an Email back from the UK to advise that they had ordered the missing parts and will post them to me.
4-6 weeks wait, I guess by then my son will have forgotten the Boeing and will have chosen another kit

Lol... That sounds just like me with the Airfix Lancaster I just got the parts for. At the time it was the "must have" kit for me but, it put me off when the 2 halves of the right wing were missing. Needless to say, the kit got boxed up and shoved the loft I hope that your son will still be interested when the clear parts arrive
I have had to contact Revell Europe on a few occasions for missing Canopy's and other clear parts. They have always answered my emails and have delivered as promised. I have a direct email that I use if anyone wants it in the future. I also have their address in the UK if it helps anyone:
Revell GmbH & Co. KG
Orchard Mews
